Franklin Templeton, President and Ceo Jenny Johnson thinks that the pace of rate hikes is causing stress in the financial system as the fed increases rates by 25 basis points to above 5%. She also tells Bloomberg that she expects the fed to eventually pause its restrictive policies, but she doesn't anticipate rate cuts any time soon.

It's not like that the banking system can't handle this rate. It's that the banking system is having a hard time handling the pace of which the rate increases have happened. So, you know, if you look at even back to, you know, this was a duration issue which is directly related to how quickly the rates increased. And so I think that once we normalize in a pause, it's going to be a while before they cut rates. But I do think that the business model can handle them at this level.
